Now taking deposits for locker beef and lamb -- reserve your share of the 2025 harvest!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is 'Locker Meat'?

Locker meat is sold directly by a farmer to an individual consumer in portions or shares. The animal is harvested without ever leaving the farm using a mobile slaughter unit, which means there is no shipping stress for the animal and significantly less fuel spent hauling livestock. The meat is then aged at a local state-licensed processing facility, cut and wrapped according to your specifications, and then frozen.

We harvest beef and lamb shares in late summer/fall. We set our yearly prices in May, and accept advance deposits up to the number of shares we have available. Place your deposit and reserve your share!

It is an ideal way to buy high quality meat in bulk from a source you know and trust, support your local food system, and reduce the carbon footprint of your food supply.

Buying beef or lamb in bulk requires the freezer space to store your ideal portion, as well as the budget to buy a year’s supply of meat at once. However, the initial investment delivers significant long-term savings when compared to buying meat from a grocery store, not to mention the satisfaction of knowing where your food comes from.

Visiting the Farm Store

This year we are adding a store on the farm! We will be open Sundays, June-September from 10AM-6PM. Come out and shop our (frozen) beef and lamb inventory, along with our custom milled wool products, seasonal vegetables and flowers.

19585 Siletz Hwy, Siletz, OR 97380

Turn off the highway and drive all the way back to the house (1/4 of a mile), turn left on the gravel road at the base of the hill and park anywhere on the gravel barnyard.

Feel free to wander our market garden and small woodland, but please stay out of barns and off equipment.

Children must be accompanied at all times by an adult.

Absolutely no pets, please! Not even in your car. (It teaches the guardian dogs to inspect people's cars, which is really annoying).

We can't wait to see you!

Do you ship?

I am not willing to ship meat at this time. My strong preference is for you to look for a local farm in your area! I will, however, ship wool.
